New Delhi: Congress is embroiled in a new controversy before the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections. In fact, on Wednesday, senior Congress leader Sam Pitroda had made racial remarks against Indians in an interview. What is Sam Pitroda’s controversial statement?
In an interview, Sam Pitroda made racial remarks against Indians and said that the people of North India look like whites, whereas the people of East India look like Chinese. South Indian people look like Africans and people of West India look like Arab people. Seeing the matter escalating, Congress leader Sam Pitroda resigned from the post of President of ‘Indian Overseas Congress’. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said in a post on ‘X’ that party chief Mallikarjun Kharge has accepted Pitroda’s decision. Ramesh said, ‘Mr. Sam Pitroda has decided to resign from the post of President of ‘Indian Overseas Congress’ on his own will. The Congress President has accepted his decision.
