Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Details Leaked: What to Expect
As the end of the year approaches, it’s no surprise that details about Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S line of phones are beginning to leak. The latest leaks give us a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming Galaxy S24 and S24 Ultra models.
Newly obtained official Samsung images confirm previous leaks by Twitter user David Martin, revealing a new flattened screen design for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The images also showcase a new gray color finish, marking a departure from the traditional gentle curved screen edges.
In addition to the design changes, the S24 devices are expected to feature on-device generative AI software. This new technology will enable real-time translation of messaging apps in over a dozen languages, showcasing Samsung’s continued innovation in AI-powered features.
Furthermore, details released by the FCC suggest that all S24 models, at least in the US, will be equipped with the new on-device AI-capable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chips. However, it is still possible that international versions of the standard S24 could utilize Samsung’s own Exynos processors and modems.
The S24 Ultra is also rumored to come with a titanium frame, an upgraded 50MP 5x telephoto camera, better vapor chamber cooling, and Wi-Fi 7 capabilities. Despite these enhancements, the leaked specs suggest that the S24 Ultra will maintain a similar design to its predecessor, the S23 Ultra.
Meanwhile, the standard Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus models are expected to come in new color finishes and will feature slight improvements in screen size and battery capacity. The leaks indicate that the standard S24 will have a 6.2-inch screen and a 4,000mAh battery, while the S24 Plus will boast a larger 6.7-inch screen and a 4,900mAh battery with 12GB of RAM.
As of now, Samsung has not officially announced the successor to its Galaxy S23 line. However, if history is any indicator, the Galaxy S24 series is likely to be unveiled at a Samsung Unpacked event early next year.
With these leaks surfacing months ahead of the official launch, tech enthusiasts will have plenty to look forward to with the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S24 series.
