Samsung Launches Galaxy Tab A9 and A9 Plus Globally, Pricing and Availability Still Unspecified

Samsung has officially announced the global release of its Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9 Plus. These budget Android tablets were previously launched in India at the beginning of this month. However, there was little communication from Samsung regarding their availability and pricing.

In its recent announcement, Samsung provided the official specifications of the Tab A9 and Tab A9 Plus tablets. However, global pricing and regional availability details were still missing. The tablets will be available in select markets in Graphite, Silver, and Navy colors. Additionally, Samsung will offer a book cover case and a book cover keyboard slim accessory, although the pricing for these accessories has not been disclosed.

The Galaxy Tab A9 features an 8.7-inch 60Hz LCD display with a resolution of 1,340 x 800. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor and comes in 4GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB variants. The tablet also supports up to 1TB of expandable storage with a microSD card. It has an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera, and a 5,100mAh battery. The Tab A9 runs on Android 13.

In India, the Galaxy Tab A9 is priced at Rs. 12,999 (~$156) for the Wi-Fi variant and Rs. 15,999 (~$192) for the 4G variant.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab A9 Plus features an 11-inch 90Hz LCD display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor and comes in 4GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB variants. Like its counterpart, it also supports up to 1TB of expandable storage. The tablet has an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and a 7,040mAh battery. The Tab A9 Plus runs on Android 13 and features quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support, as well as support for Samsung DeX.
