The University of San Francisco men’s basketball team (5-2) will aim to finish their holiday weekend strong as they face Nevada (4-3) in the consolation game of the Acrisure Holiday Classic on Friday, November 28, 2025. The matchup, scheduled for 11:00 am PT at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, will be broadcast on truTV with Chris Sylvester and Ronny Thompson providing commentary, and Justin Stuckey reporting from the sideline. Second-Half Surge Dooms Dons Against Colorado
In their opening game of the Acrisure Holiday Classic on Thursday,November 27,the Dons battled Colorado (CU) closely,leading at halftime 37-35. Though, a dominant second-half performance by the Buffaloes ultimately led to a 79-69 defeat for San Francisco. Colorado outscored USF by twelve points in the final twenty minutes, 44-32, shifting the momentum and securing the win.
Four Dons Score in Double Figures
Despite the loss, the Dons showcased offensive firepower with four players reaching double-digit scoring. Junjie Wang led the charge with a season-high 13 points, matched by Ryan Beasley with 13 of his own. Tyrone Riley IV contributed 12 points, and Guillermo Diaz Graham added 10, tying his season-high.David Fuchs also had a strong performance, matching his career-high with four assists.
Beasley Emerges as key Leader
Ryan Beasley has become a key leader for the Dons, consistently contributing on both ends of the court. His 13 points against Colorado highlighted his scoring ability, and his defensive presence is increasingly critically important for the team.
Nevada Wolf Pack Preview
Elijah Price (12 points) led the Wolf Pack in scoring. Nevada previously faced two West Coast Conference (WCC) opponents, narrowly defeating Pacific 78-77 on November 8 and losing on the road at Santa Clara 98-83 on November 15.
