Actress Sandra Bullock is feeling “grateful” for the overwhelming support she has received from the public following the tragic death of her partner, Bryan Randall. Randall passed away at the age of 57 after a three-year battle with ALS. Bullock, 59, has been mourning the loss of her “love of her life” since his passing earlier this month.
According to a source close to Bullock, the actress has been touched by the outpouring support toward ALS research following Bryan’s death. The source stated, “It was very important to her that when she and his family made the initial statement of Bryan’s passing, those who were on this journey with her and Bryan, from the beginning, were recognized.” Bullock is grateful for all the donations made and is happy that something positive has come out of such a heartbreaking situation.
In honor of Bryan Randall, his family requested donations to the ALS Association and Massachusetts General Hospital instead of flowers. The ALS Association reported an additional $50,000 raised in Bryan’s honor, and a significant increase in website visitors. The organization expressed gratitude for the support and emphasized the ongoing need for funding to make ALS livable until a cure is found.
ALS is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. Currently, there is no cure for this fatal disease, and Bryan Randall battled it for three years before his passing. His loved ones acknowledged the hardships they faced during his illness but expressed gratitude for the dedicated doctors and nurses who supported them.
Sandra Bullock’s sister, Gesine Bullock-Prado, also took to Instagram to mourn the loss of Bryan Randall and honor her sister. She described ALS as a cruel disease but found comfort in knowing that Bryan had the best caretakers, including her sister and the team of nurses who helped care for him at home. Gesine encouraged donations to the ALS Association and Massachusetts General Hospital in her tribute.

Although they never legally married, the couple considered their commitment to be a forever thing. The Bahamas held a special significance for the couple, and Bullock is now planning to scatter Randall’s ashes there as a final goodbye.
Randall’s daughter, Skylar Staten Randall, received her father’s ashes at her Los Angeles apartment. Sandra Bullock has taken Skylar under her wing in the wake of her father’s passing.
