A Team Effort of Holiday Spirit
According to Rob Rikalo,reserve commander,the operation involved a dedicated team of volunteers. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Uniformed Reserves and Volunteers visited a total of 62 residences within the city limits. The effort began with months of planning, including gift collection drives and logistical coordination to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery process.
The scale of the effort was remarkable, with a combined force of six santas – acknowledging his magical abilities to be in multiple places at once – six drivers, and eight elves.This dedicated team worked tirelessly to ensure a memorable experience for all. Volunteers spent hours wrapping gifts, preparing routes, and coordinating schedules to maximize the impact of the event.
Reaching Over 235 Children
This year’s outreach extended to over 235 children, bringing smiles and festive spirit to homes across Carson City. Each child received a thoughtfully selected gift, tailored to their age and interests, thanks to generous donations from local businesses and individuals.
