Santander Totta (Banco Santander) launches five new deposits in Portugal

by time news

Santander Totta, the subsidiary of Banco Santander in Portugal, has launched five new deposits with up to 2% interest.

Until now, the highest remuneration offered by Banco Santander corresponded to a deposit that was only offered to customers with a mortgage.

In Santander Totta’s new offer, it is worth highlighting the ‘Pequena Poupança’ deposit, which remunerates deposits of between 500 and 2,500 euros with 2% over 6 months, as long as you have a credit or debit card and do not exceed the 10,000 euros in all accounts in the entity. The ‘Depósito Jovem’ also stands out, with the same characteristics as the previous one, but without requirements for all underage customers.

Santander Totta intends to launch the ‘Poupança Crescente Vinculada’ deposit in the near future, with a one-year maturity and whose interest is paid quarterly, since it increases every three months from an initial 0.5% to 2%. To take out this product, you must have a minimum salary or pension of 300 euros, and have taken out the ‘Mundo 1 2 3’ offer, which includes an account, a credit card, and insurance.

For average savers, the subsidiary of Banco Santander in Portugal is going to put into operation the ‘Crescente Premium’ deposit, with quarterly interest and which increases every three months, from an initial 0.10% in the first to 1.50% in the eighth. The deposit has a term of 24 months, remunerates amounts between 10,000 and 50,000 euros, and the contracting party must have a ‘Gold’ credit card.

For its part, for larger assets, Santander Totta launches the ‘Crescente Premium+’, with the same term and maturity as the previous one, but with a maximum interest of 2% in the eighth quarter, while the amount becomes between 50,000 and 500,000 euros, and a ‘Platinum’ credit card is required.

Finally, the Portuguese subsidiary of Openbank (the digital entity of Banco Santander) also offers to remunerate deposits for the first 10,000 euros with only 2%, although from the seventh month, the interest returns to 0.20%.
