Brazil has already recorded more than 345,000 suspected cases of dengue this year, and 36 deaths have been confirmed. Due to the increase in cases, the São Paulo government announced an action plan against the disease worth R$200 million. In the state alone, in the first four weeks of January, more than 19 thousand cases were registered – a number almost 50% higher than the same period last year.
