The São Paulo State Fire Department and Military Police will send 26 police officers and 22 firefighters to help rescue the victims of earthquakes that have been occurring since Monday (6) In Turkey. In addition to these agents, two military doctors and two members of the state’s Civil Defense will include the rescue team that is going to the Middle Eastern country.
Os earthquakes killed more than 11,000 people and there are still many people in the rubble, which is why the agents will leave São Paulo to join the rescue teams in Turkey.
In a note, the corporations informed that the group will be led by Colonel Camargo Junior and will have specific equipment for search and rescue occurrences in collapsed structures, such as struts, hydraulic and pneumatic tools, breakers for structures, in addition to tents that will serve as a command post and will house equipment and troops.
Three Belgian Shepherd Malinois and a Labrador will also join the team.
The police will travel on two FAB (Brazilian Air Force) planes and boarding will take place in the next few days.
