Initial events saw 700 people vaccinated and over 1,000 vaccines administered, prompting officials to double capacity in Alghero and Sassari on saturday, November 22, 2025.

During these open days, vaccinations are available free of charge and without the need for prior appointments. Individuals are asked to bring a valid identity document and health card. Parents must accompany minors seeking vaccination. The health authority emphasizes a flexible approach, allowing for the simultaneous administration of certain vaccines while offering scheduling options for others, tailored to individual patient needs.
Who Should Get Vaccinated?
The updated COVID-19 and flu vaccines are specifically formulated to target current circulating variants and are strongly recommended for individuals over 60, those with underlying health conditions, individuals with compromised immune systems, and pregnant women. The pneumococcal vaccine is advised for those over 65 and individuals with frailty, while the herpes zoster vaccine is recommended for frail individuals over the age of 18.
