According to a media report, financiers from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) want to invest in the space company SpaceX from Tesla founder Elon Musk. A unit of the Saudi Arabian Investment Fund and an Abu Dhabi-based company are planning a multi-billion dollar investment, technology news site The Information reports on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The financing round will increase the value of the US missile manufacturer to around $140 billion. SpaceX and representatives of the mandated bank Morgan Stanley have therefore informed investors that the Saudi Arabian Water and Electricity Holding Company, which is part of the country’s sovereign wealth fund, and Alpha Dhabi from the UAE are involved in the financing round.

SpaceX, the Saudi Arabian Investment Fund and Alpha Dhabi did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
