RIYADH – Saudi Arabia’s King Salman issued a directive to accommodate 1,000 Palestinian pilgrims to participate in this year’s Hajj season. Those invited came from the families of the martyrs, wounded and prisoners.

The Saudi Press Office said on Saturday (10/6/2023) that the initiative is part of the Hajj Guest Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program, which is overseen annually by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in the kingdom.

In a statement, Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh thanked King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their continuous support of the families and friends of the Palestinian martyrs and those injured.

“The continued generous gesture towards the Palestinian pilgrims who perform Hajj every year at the expense of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques comes as an affirmation of the depth of the relationship and its appreciation for the great sacrifices made by the Palestinian people,” he said.

The program for guests of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques covers all aspects of performing the blessed ritual, from arrival to departure.
