Riyadh: Saudi Arabia and Iran have officially restored diplomatic relations after a long break to create an atmosphere of peace in the Arabian region. Saudi Arabia and Iran have taken an important decision to open diplomatic offices in both countries. The decision was taken to reopen the consulates in Jeddah and Mashhad.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdullahyan held a meeting in Beijing. The meeting took place during the official visit of both the leaders to China. The meeting between the two leaders was hosted by Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang. After the meeting, the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Iran issued a joint statement.
It was decided to grant visas to each other’s citizens of Saudi Arabia and Iran.
