The snowboard aces Sabine Schöffmann and Andreas Prommegger won the team competition in the parallel giant slalom on the Simonhöhe near St. Urban in Carinthia on Sunday. In the final, the duo prevailed against the Swiss Ladina Jenny/Dario Caviezel. Third place went to the German pairing Ramona Hofmeister/Elias Huber. Daniela Ulbing/Benjamin Karl were eliminated in the quarterfinals and ended up in fifth place.

“Driving with Sabine is a real pleasure, she is in impressive shape at the moment. But I am also very satisfied,” said Prommegger. For Schöffmann it was the second home success after winning the individual competition on Saturday. “The whole weekend was crazy. Everything worked together. We trained a lot here and try to take advantage of every wave.” After eight races in 16 days, the parallel drivers now have a break; they continue on the 24th/25th. February in Krynica (Poland).
