In which 6 children died while many children were injured. A child injured in this accident said that the driver was driving very fast. He was under the influence of alcohol and was driving at a speed of 120 kmph due to which the bus lost its balance and overturned. Today many families lost their innocent children due to the negligence of the school bus driver. Police is investigating the matter but if the school bus driver had followed the guidelines issued for school buses, this accident would not have happened today.   • School bus should be yellow in colour. Along with this, school bus must be written on it.
  • It is necessary to have a first-aid box in the school bus. There should be grills in the bus windows. Along with this, the bus should also be equipped with a fire extinguisher.
  • The school bus should also have the name and telephone number of the school. Along with this, there should also be locks on the doors.
  • There should be an attendant in the school bus and the maximum speed should be 40 kilometers per hour.
  • The driver of a school cab must have a license to drive an LMV-transport vehicle for at least four years.
  • School bus drivers should always be in uniform. Also, children’s bags should not be kept on the roof carrier.
  • In case of kindergarten, if the parents do not come to the authorized place to pick up the children, then that child will be taken back to the school.
  • School buses should also be fitted with GPS and CCTV and their footage should be safe for 60 days.
