Joel Schwärzler makes it to the quarter-finals at the Challenger in Mauthausen. He beat the Spaniard Martin Landaluce in two sets 6:4 and 6:2.

The 18-year-old acts confidently in the duel for long stretches. In the first set he didn’t let anything go wrong with his own serve; the break to make it 1-0 was enough to win the set.

In the second set he immediately moved ahead to 4:1, and Schwärzler even allowed himself a break to make it 2:4. After a playing time of 1:18 hours he uses the third match point.
