Fatal Scooter Collision Shuts Down Via Emilia Near Rimini
A tragic traffic accident involving a scooter and two cars resulted in one fatality and multiple serious injuries on Saturday morning, causing a significant disruption to traffic along the Via Emilia. The incident, which occurred near the Rimini fairgrounds, is currently under investigation.
A scooter and two automobiles collided around 12:30 PM local time at kilometer 2+400 of the Via Emilia. The precise circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear, but authorities confirm that both individuals riding the scooter were ejected from the vehicle upon impact.
One Fatality Confirmed, Multiple Injuries Reported
Emergency medical services (118) responded immediately to the scene, but despite their efforts, the driver of the scooter succumbed to the severity of his injuries. “The injuries sustained were too serious,” a medical official stated.
A passenger on the scooter was transported urgently to Bufalini Hospital in Cesena for treatment. Additionally, one of the motorists involved in the collision was also taken to the same hospital, listed in critical condition. The extent of the injuries sustained by the second motorist remains unknown at this time.
