A series of cinematographic screenings, carried out in collaboration with the Moroccan Cinematographic Center, the Hiba Foundation, the Rif cinema and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum Marrakech, will take place in three Moroccan cities: Tangier, Marrakech and Rabat, indicated a joint press release from the organizers .

“Between Blue Waves and Green Corridors” plunges spectators into the heart of Arnhem (Editor’s note, municipality in the Netherlands) in 2017, at a time when the municipality is planning to demolish the artistic icon “Blue Waves” by Peter Struycken. A gesture intended to make way for a new space within the creative corridor or green corridor project, specifies the press release.

The documentary, the result of two years of exploration by an independent team of artists, reveals an in-depth investigation into the meaning of Dutch cultural heritage and the issues surrounding it.

The work, at the crossroads of art, politics and society, raises captivating questions about the value of cultural heritage, while staging a real drama, where the unexpected protagonists are the institutional, cultural actors , economic and political.

Director Hans Van Houlingen and his team of student artists, the ArteZTeam, unveil a new generation of artists through striking images, capturing the debate and uncertainty surrounding the preservation of public artistic heritage.
