Puscifer Announces New Album ‘Normal Isn’t,’ Spring 2026 Tour
A new era for the enigmatic musical collective is dawning as Puscifer prepares to release its fifth studio album, Normal Isn’t, on February 6, 2026, accompanied by a North American tour beginning in the spring of the same year. The forthcoming record, released via Puscifer Entertainment/Alchemy Recordings/BMG, marks the group’s first full-length offering in over five years and signals a bold sonic shift.
A Darker, More Instinctive Sound
The creative force behind Puscifer – Maynard James Keenan, alongside Mat Mitchell and Carina Round – has crafted an album that delves into “darker, guitar-centered sounds” while drawing inspiration from the post-punk lineage. According to a press release, Keenan describes the album’s aesthetic as “where goth meets punk: this is where I come from.” The led single, Self Evident, already available to fans, offered a preview of the album’s tone at an intimate Los Angeles concert this summer.
Mitchell revealed that the band intentionally “removed the guardrails” during the production process, resulting in a more “aggressive” and instinctive sound. This approach reflects a desire to embrace spontaneity and raw energy in the music.
