New details were revealed today (Wednesday) by Reuters about the attack that took place at the beginning of the week in Syria, from which it appears in an incident in which five casualties were killed at a security facility where senior Syrian and Iranian officials met to promote plans for the development of drone and missile capabilities.

It turns out that one of the dead was a civil engineer of the Syrian army, who, according to the states, worked to produce missiles and chemical weapons. However, Damascus denies its activities. Another casualty of the attack is an engineer of the Revolutionary Guards who was involved in Iran’s missile program, was seriously injured and transferred to a hospital in Tehran.

In the meantime, state media in Syria blamed Israel for the deaths of the five senior officials, and claimed that 15 people, including civilians, were additionally injured due to the attack. It is estimated in Israel that three of the dead in the Kfar Sousa neighborhood were killed as a result of Syrian surface-to-air missile fire. Two other reported Syrian army casualties were apparently hit in another area after firing at the planes.
