The WorldHealth Organization (WHO) has warned of an outbreak of the little-known but highly contagious bacterium Shigella sonnei. It causes serious intestinal infections and in Western Europe it spreads mainly among men who have sex with other men. Sensoa is therefore starting an awareness campaign in Flanders for the first time.
