Several takeover offers from London football club Chelsea have been made. Tenniswoman Serena Williams and Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton have agreed to participate in one of them.

They are ready to invest 10 million pounds each. American tennis champion Serena Williams continues her journey in the football business since she already owns shares in Angel City FC, the women’s football club in Los Angeles.

As for Lewis Hamilton, seven-time world champion Formula 1 driver, he is a big football fan. Even if on the London club side, he was more Arsenal than Chelsea, it is with the Blues that he wants to invest.

Chelsea has been listed for sale by its Russian owner Roman Abramovich following Russia’s military offensive in Ukraine.

The two sports stars therefore join the offer prepared by businessman Martin Broughton. Himself former president of the Liverpool club, he is now at the head of the airline British Airways. In his consortium for Chelsea, we find among others Sebastian Coe, president of the international athletics federation.

Two other offers are in the race for the acquisition of the English club. The case could be settled in the coming weeks.
