The secretary of the Comptroller General’s Office, Juan José Serrano Mendoza, offered details about the irregularities found in the work, which took place on a property where the project was carried out “Novus Residential“, located in División del Norte, number 2238 BIS, Colonia Portales, just above the tunnel between the Eje Central and Parque de los Venados stations.

Among the most significant irregularities detected, Serrano Mendoza mentioned that The Benito Juárez Mayor’s Office issued a Certificate of Alignment and Official Number for the property in question without it being duly registered. in the Alignment Plans and Rights of Way.

Furthermore, construction took place for more than 10 months without local authorities detecting inconsistencies in the construction file.

The secretary also highlighted that the work lacked the necessary licenses, such as the Special Construction License for Excavations and the Special Construction License for Total Demolition, which had also expired. In addition, the construction exceeded the meters allowed in the Single Zoning and Land Use Certificate.

The possible serious administrative offenses committed by the Benito Juárez Mayor’s Office, including the abuse of functions, and the alleged obstruction of the investigative powers of the Internal Control Body, have been identified.

The public servants involved were in key areas such as the Urban Development Directorate and the Regulations and Licensing Subdirectorate.

The Secretary of Urban Development and Housing, Inti Muñoz Santini, was also present at the press conference to provide additional information on the situation and the measures taken to address these irregularities and guarantee security and transparency in future construction projects in the City of Mexico.
