Serqueux residents enjoyed a surprisingly active 2025, with one or two community events unfolding each month, largely organized by the municipality and four local associations. The year kicked off on January 18 with a “wishes” ceremony and awards recognizing outstanding flower house displays, setting a cheerful tone for the months ahead.

February 2 saw the Saint-Blaise association, traditionally the patron of the local church, host a well-attended meal for approximately 100 people. March brought a special meal for senior citizens, courtesy of the town hall, and a spirited tarot competition organized by the Fontenelles club, attracting 48 players on March 8. April featured a Burgundy-themed meal presented by the Réveil de Malaumont association.
In May, the municipality showed its appreciation for mothers, gifting plants to 65 recipients. The Fontenelles association also organized a gourmet lotto that same month. A collective spirit was on display June 28, when all four associations came together for a festive afternoon. August saw a country-style meal co-hosted by the Réveil du Malaumont and the municipality.
Competitive Fun and Charitable Efforts
September’s calendar included a belote competition hosted by the Fontenelles, drawing 38 teams. October was dedicated to health awareness, with the town hosting a cycling tour in support of Pink October, the campaign against breast cancer. From October 6 to 13, 34 members of the Fontenelles club embarked on a Mediterranean cruise, followed by a friendship meal on October 19.
The Réveil du Malaumont association organized a Beaujolais evening on November 21. December concluded the year with a Fontenelles tarot competition, a fundraising event for the Telethon, and a recreational afternoon designed for children.
