There has been controversy over‍ reports that Seungri, a former member of the group ‘Big Bang‘, is⁢ participating in an event called ‘Burning ⁢Sun’ despite serving a prison⁣ sentence for the ‘Burning Sun’ incident in Korea. However, ⁤Seungri has⁣ denied the claims and stated that he will take legal action against violations of his portrait rights.

‍ According to American Hallyu media outlet ‘Allkpop’ and Indian English news channel ‘Times ⁢Now’, Seungri is scheduled to be a special guest at an event in Indonesia on the 31st, hosted by overseas event management ⁣company TSV Management. Posters and other information were shared on social media the day before.

Seungri, who was kicked out of the domestic entertainment industry, has continued his activities mainly overseas. ‍In May, there were reports that he was planning to open a club in Cambodia. He was also filmed singing Big Bang’s “Bang Bang Bang” at a Malaysian billionaire’s birthday party.

Not only has Seungri‍ been working overseas without any apparent reflection, but he has also participated in an event under the name of ‘Burning Sun’. This has drawn criticism from some Koreans, who have commented that it is inappropriate and disrespectful.

In response to the controversy, Seungri stated in an interview with the domestic entertainment and sports news outlet ‘Daily Sports’ that the Indonesian club report is false. He ‌plans to take legal action against those who have ‍violated his portrait rights and defamed‍ him with false information.

⁢ Seungri made ‌his debut with Big Bang in‌ 2006 but was identified as the main culprit in the ‘Burning Sun’ scandal and was kicked out of the entertainment industry in 2019.

He was indicted in January 2020, tried in military court, and sentenced to three years in prison. The sentence was later reduced to one year and six months. He was transferred to the wartime labor force ⁣and eventually released from prison in February of last year.
