On the basis of the previous crime hypothesis, the seven members of the Maradona medical team risked – in the event of ascertained guilt – sentences ranging from 5 to 15 years in prison. Maradona, who suffered from kidney, liver and heart problems, died of a heart attack on November 25, 2020, just weeks after undergoing brain surgery for a blood clot. He was 60 years old.
