The United Nations agency for support of Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) announced the dismissal of “several” employees accused by Israel of being involved in the October 7 Hamas attack and promised to investigate the allegations.

In reaction to the accusations of the Hebrew State, the United States, followed by Australia, Canada, Italy and the United Kingdom, announced this Saturday, January 27th, to temporarily suspend all funding to UNRWA.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz announced this Saturday that the country will try to prevent this UN agency from operating in the Gaza Strip in the post-war period.

The city of Khan Younès continues to be the target of bombings, and thousands of civilians survive in the rain and cold. The Israeli army believes that the local leadership of Hamas is hiding in that city.

During the night, torrential rain flooded tent camps in Rafah in the south, making conditions difficult for those displaced by war.

The previous day, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered Israel to take all necessary measures to prevent possible acts of genocide and to allow the provision of basic and humanitarian services without, however, calling for a ceasefire in the Palestinian enclave.
