‘Sex Education’ Star Alexander Westwood Found Guilty of Sexual Abuse Against Young Drama Students

British Alexander Westwood (24), known from the ‌series “Sex Education,” has ⁢been found ⁣guilty of assaulting young drama students.

The actor was convicted on 26 counts,including the rape of a 16-year-old and sexual abuse of another teenager⁢ who came to him for acting lessons,reports Deadline.

The assaults are said‌ to have occurred between⁢ 2020 and 2021.

Westwood is also convicted of assaulting a child over an eight-year period​ – from 2010 to 2018.

The court heard how Westwood allegedly pressured the teenagers to act ⁣out vrey​ inappropriate ​scenes ⁢as part of the instruction.

Prosecutor Andrew wallace described ‌Westwood as a predator, “who exploited his position‌ to abuse vulnerable teenagers dreaming of an acting career.”

He is said to ​have discussed a masturbation scene⁢ from the netflix series “Bridgerton”​ with one of the‌ girls he raped.

The 24-year-old has appeared ⁤in many episodes of the Netflix series “Sex Education,” but⁢ he has also been featured in several BBC series including⁢ “Father Brown” and “Doctors.”

Neither Netflix nor BBC has responded to ‌Deadline’s inquiries, the site reports.

He will receive his sentence in Wolverhampton Crown Court on‌ February 25.

“Sex‌ Education”​ was a major success during its run from 2019–2023. The series has won numerous awards and been nominated for even more.
