Malappuram: Manjeri Pookolathur CHM Higher Secondary School: School authorities explain the clash between SFI workers and teachers. Headmistress A. Jayasree and her co-teachers said that the SFI carried out the attack unilaterally and repulsed those who attacked the teachers.

The teachers sent the SFI activists back, saying there was no politics in the school and no government order to leave the class.

The incident took place after SFI leaders went to the headmistress’s office demanding the expulsion and reinstatement of a 10th class student of the school who was part of the gang. SFI activists allege that 10 teachers were gang-raped.

Headmistress Jayashree said that the examination work was interrupted and she was beaten when she tried to stop the distribution of files. Teachers alleged that the leaders violated the Kovid norms and created an atmosphere of terror in the school office and later in the hospital.
