Governor Arif Mohammad Khan Accepts Challenge of SFI Leadership

Thiruvananthapuram: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has accepted the challenge of the SFI leadership that they will not be allowed to set foot on university campuses in the state. The Governor has decided to stay at the Calicut University Guest House from 16th to 18th of this month. Earlier it was planned to stay in a government guest house in Kozhikode. But the governor changed his decision after SFI announced that the governor would not be allowed to set foot on any campus.

The black flag protest by SFI activists against the Governor in Thiruvananthapuram last day was violent. The police have registered a case against the SFI activists under the non-bailable section. This is a section punishable with 7 years rigorous imprisonment.

This is a serious section against obstructing or interfering with the President or the Governor. First, the charge of obstructing the work of the police was imposed. The action comes after the Raj Bhavan itself demanded that section 124 of the IPC be imposed. Section 124 of the IPC was imposed against the seven persons who stopped the governor of Palayam.

But state secretary PM Arshaw said that there is a decision to continue the SFI protest against the governor. Black flag protests are democratic. Trying to make the whole struggle look bad. No violent incident occurred. The Governor’s vehicle was not attacked in the camp. There will be no struggle to jump in front of the vehicle. SFI workers will maintain vigilance not to touch the vehicle PM Arshaw has denied allegations that the governor’s travel route was leaked by the police. We also do not leak information. The governor goes through three routes. There were SFIs on those routes. He also stated that SFI does not want any help from the police.
