An unusual attack on former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.
Daniel Avital, Ayelet Shaked’s closest adviser in recent years, this morning sharply attacks former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, following his announcement against the legal reform of Yariv Levin and says that he is the last one who can preach morality.
In a short tweet on his Twitter account, Avital wrote: “It is not certain that the man who committed an obscene act in democracy with only six mandates, is the right man to preach morality.”
Last night, Bennett referred for the first time to the legal reform of Justice Minister Yariv Levin and called for dialogue between all the bodies that will be affected by the dramatic move.
In a message he issued under the title “Special Message”, Bennett wrote: “It’s no secret that I believe that over the years the judicial system has assumed excessive powers, and has blocked any attempt at reform. I believe that certain changes are required in the judicial system and in recent years we have even promoted some of them. But no Correcting a historical distortion with another distortion”.
“There is no escape: the two sides must talk immediately. The opposition must understand: the public elected the government, it has a mandate to make changes, there will be changes, and that’s a good thing. According to Bennett: “The full current proposal, as it currently stands, is dangerous. It will damage the foundations of the State of Israel, its economy and its citizens, and it may tear the rope that connects us all. That is why it needs to be fixed. There is only one solution: sit down together, talk, and reach the right change To be honest, the formula is not particularly complicated, if only both sides come with a little good will. We are brotherly people.”
