Trygve Bennetsen Eliminated in Emotional “Shall We Dance” Christmas Special
After nine weeks of competition, the popular Norwegian dance program “Shall We Dance” saw another contestant depart on Saturday, leaving just five couples vying for the coveted title. “This is very sad,” Bennetsen shared with Se og Hør following his elimination. “I would of course have liked one more week, but at the same time I am proud of what we have achieved. I don’t think it has dawned on us yet.”
The elimination was notably poignant as Bennetsen spoke of the strong bond he formed with his dance partner, Ida Amy Sund. Sund is set to return to Sweden on Sunday, leaving Bennetsen to reflect on their journey together.
“I will definitely visit Ida,” a tearful Bennetsen stated.”She has become my big sister. She has meant everything, and it would not have been the same without her.” He continued, expressing his gratitude for the experience, saying, “Every Saturday has lived its own adventure, and the whole has been fantastic. I don’t know how it will feel without Ida. luckily, she’ll be back in two weeks and we’ll be watching the final together.”
Notably, Bennetsen also revealed a surprising detail about fellow celebrity Sophie Elise, mentioning she was engaged in another recording during the premiere of the show “Maskorama.”
