MUMBAI: The National Stock Exchange (BSE) opened higher this morning and ended lower in the afternoon.
Inflation
Inflation in India and the United States has exceeded the control level. Inflation in the United States has risen to levels not seen in the last 40 years, according to a report released yesterday. This has led to expectations that the US Federal Reserve will raise interest rates to control inflation.
In Britain, too, annual inflation has risen to 7 percent, the lowest level in 30 years. Thus, the interest rate on loans in the UK is expected to rise.
Interest rates will rise
Inflation in India rose to a 17-month high of 6.95% in March, above the Reserve Bank’s control of 6 per cent. Thus, the Reserve Bank of India may raise interest rates by up to 25 percentage points at its next monetary policy meeting, the study said.
Apart from this, Russian President Putin’s statement that peace talks with Ukraine are over shows that the war will only intensify. Despite global factors such as concerns, Indian investors started the morning trading on a positive note as stocks traded and traded for profit.
Investors warn
But investors were not interested in buying the shares as they invested very cautiously in the afternoon. Thus the market began to slide in the evening in the wake of the morning boom.
The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex fell by 237 points to close at 58,338 points in the evening trade. At the National Stock Exchange, the Nifty was down 64 points at 17,465.
