Mumbai and national stock exchanges started trading with a decline this morning despite positive international factors.

Finished with the hike

The Bombay Stock Exchange closed at 1335 points and the Nifty at 18,000 points yesterday. Investors similarly expected the stock market to start trading with enthusiasm today.

Rising crude oil prices

If the US stock market ends higher yesterday, the impact will be felt on the Indian stock market as well. Thus the Mumbai, National Stock Exchanges were in decline even before the start of trading.

International crude oil prices fell sharply to $ 2 a barrel today. Expectations of escalating sanctions on Russia over the Ukraine-Russia war and the suspension of talks with Iran have frightened investors. Thus, investors are not interested in investing.

Decline

The Sensex opened 100 points lower and the Nifty fell below 18,050 points in early trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange. This decline was expected to correct for a while but the decline continues.

Profit decline

Of the 30 major stocks on the Mumbai Stock Exchange, 16 are profitable and only 16 are down. ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Reliance, Infosys, Asian Paints, Kodak Bank, Wipro, Ultratech Cement, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank, HDFC and Bajaj Finance were among the losers.
