MUMBAI: The National Stock Exchange (BSE) opened with a 3-day slump this morning. Investors are looking forward to the release of Infosys’ 4th quarter results today
Inflation in India and the United States has exceeded the control level. Inflation in the United States has risen to levels not seen in the last 40 years, according to a report released yesterday.
Inflation in India rose to 6.95% in March, well above the Reserve Bank’s control level of 6%. Thus, it seems that the Reserve Bank may raise interest rates at the next monetary policy meeting.
Rising inflation
The price of crude oil, which has been declining in the international market for the past few days, has literally risen slightly today. Apart from this, Russian President Putin’s statement that peace talks with Ukraine are over shows that the war will only intensify. Despite global concerns like this, Indian investors have taken a positive view of trading this morning.
Infosys anticipation
Infosys’ 4th quarter results released today during trading hours. As TCS’s profits have already increased, investors are expecting Infosys’ profits to increase as well.
As a result, the Bombay Stock Exchange was up 290 points and the Nifty was up 6 points before the start of trading. At the start of trading, the Sensex was up 267 points at 58,843 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. At the National Stock Exchange, the Nifty was up 83 points at 17,613.
ONGC, Hindalco, JSW Steel, Coal India and Tata Steel are gaining ground in the Nifty. Shares of Asianpoints, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Titan, Nestle and Hero Motors are down.
Profit or profit
On the Mumbai Stock Exchange, which has 30 major stocks, only 5 stocks are in decline and the other 25 stocks are in the red. Shares of Tata Steel, Airtel and ITC are moving higher. Shares of Asian Paints, DRL and Titan are down
Shares of all sectors in the Nifty are gaining. Shares of metals, real estate, public sector banks, automobile, media, private banking and FMCG are moving profitably.
