Sheikh Hasina’s gift to Modi; One metric ton of ‘Amrapali’ mango – Mango Diplomacy | Sheikh Hasina | Narendra Modi

New Delhi: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent a metric tonne of ‘Amrapali’ mangoes to President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The mangoes were sent as part of a previous ‘mango diplomacy’. According to a statement issued by the Bangladesh High Commission, Sheikh Hasina sent a “special” gift to the President and the Prime Minister through the diplomatic channel.

This is the highest season of mangoes in Bangladesh. Last year, Sheikh Hasina sent mangoes as gifts to the President, the Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers of Bengal, Tripura and Assam.
