Shiv Sena to join UPA? Sanjay Rawat says opposition alliance is not possible without Congress

New Delhi: The Shiv Sena has said that an opposition alliance is not possible without the Congress. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut meets Rahul Gandhi After the meeting, Sanjay Rawat said that there was no need to form a new opposition alliance and that only one opposition alliance was enough. It is up to the negotiator to decide who will be the face of the opposition. Uddhav needs to discuss with Thackeray whether the Shiv Sena will join the UPA. Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Mumbai soon, Rawat said.

Meanwhile, JDS leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy has come out in support of Mamata Banerjee, the Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress leader, who is moving ahead with the Third Alternative Front. He said an alliance without Congress would happen.

Kumaraswamy added that an alliance of national parties would be possible and an alliance without the Congress and the BJP would be formed in 2024. Mamata Banerjee’s statement that the UPA does not exist is true. The regional parties now have to come together. Kumaraswamy also said that a non-Congress alliance could fight the BJP.
