Two People Injured in Shooting at Petrol Station in Uppsala
On Sunday afternoon, a shooting incident at a petrol station in Uppsala resulted in two individuals being taken to the hospital with suspected gunshot wounds. The police have opened a preliminary investigation into attempted murder.
The incident took place at around 5 pm, and the authorities were alerted at 17:13. The two injured men, both in their 30s, were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The severity of their injuries is yet to be determined. Although they were conscious and able to communicate upon arrival at the hospital, their condition will be further assessed by medical professionals.
Linda Winge, commander at the police command center in Region Mitt, stated that a serious crime investigation is currently underway. The police have allocated a significant portion of their resources to the case.
At this stage, the police have not provided any information regarding the possible motive behind the shooting. It is unclear whether the victims were already known to law enforcement authorities.
“We obviously consider all angles, and the background of the victims will be looked into,” said Linda Winge.

As of 8:30 p.m., no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The police continue their efforts to apprehend the responsible parties.
