Short on battery? This phone charges in just 9 minutes

by time news

If in the past the cell phones had a battery that lasted for several days in a row, our present smartphones have to meet the charger every few hours, and even then we do not always have enough time to charge the cell phone. Although there are fast-charging devices on the market, the Chinese company Oppo last night (Monday) unveiled a fast-charging standard from another world at the MWC 2022 technology conference held in Barcelona.

The first new device introduced at the conference will provide fast charging capabilities with a power of 150 watts and will allow a battery with a capacity of 4,500 mAh in full in 15 minutes, and 50% of the battery in just 5 minutes. The device should be available this year.

Less than a few hours passed and the Chinese company introduced charging capabilities from the future – full charging in just 9 minutes with a power of 240 watts, and 50% of it within 3.5 minutes. Opo did not disclose details about the charging conditions so it may be her attempt to get public attention in such a busy market.

It should be noted that the 150W SuperVOOC charging standard will hit the market as early as the second quarter of 2022 on the devices of the Chinese company “One Plus”. In addition, another Chinese company, Rilmi, has introduced a new charging standard called UltraDart Charge, which will also offer charging at the same power and reach the market with its new device, the GT Neo 3.
