Subman Gill played his first ODI for India in 2019. Since then, he has only got a chance to play in 9 ODIs. He has scored 499 runs at an average of 71.29 in these matches. Subman Gill has crossed 1 century in 9 innings and 50 runs in 3 innings. Apart from this, he has also played 11 Test matches for India. He has scored 579 runs at an average of 30.47. Even after this brilliant performance, he could not find a place in the T20 team.
Will there be another chance?
The Indian team toured Zimbabwe and the West Indies ahead of the 2022 Asia Cup. Subman Gill performed very well in both these tours. Shubman Gill scored 130 in the third ODI against Zimbabwe. At the same time, in the first ODI, he scored 82 runs. As a result, he got the Man of the Series award. In the 3-match ODI series against the West Indies, he played match-winning innings of 64, 43 and 98 not out. Shubman Gill was adjudged Man of the Series in this tour as well.
