The Chinese technology company “Xiaomi” (Xiaomi) presented on Thursday its first fully developed electric car SU7, Radio China reports.

Three versions of the model – SU7, SU7 Pro and SU7 Max – will hit the market, with prices ranging from 215,900 to 299,900 yuan ($30,431 to $41,494).

Designed with a minimum range of 700 km, the SU7 and SU7 Max will begin shipping to customers by the end of April, while the SU7 Pro will be delivered by the end of May.

Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi, said at the launch that the company has achieved technological breakthroughs in key areas such as model design, batteries, intelligent driving and intelligent cabins.

Xiaomi entered the new energy car sector in 2021 and built a factory covering an area of ​​over 700,000 square meters in Beijing.

Data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers showed that production and sales volumes of electric vehicles in China reached 1.25 million and 1.21 million units, respectively, in the first two months of the year.
