Kovalam: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said he will discuss the Silver Line issue with Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraja Bomma. The Chief Minister informed that it has been agreed to hold talks in Bengaluru at the end of this month. The Chief Minister informed about this in the meeting of the Southern Region Council. Therefore, the Silverline issue will not be discussed in the council meeting today. Earlier there were reports that the matter was included in the agenda of the meeting.

Presently, Pinarayi and Bomma are discussing the extension of the proposed road up to Kasaragod to Mangalore. Experts see this as a political move to extend the state’s development plan outside the state and promote it as an inter-state project to get central approval. By presenting it like this, it will be possible to highlight the Silver Line as the main development project of the state.
