Malappuram: People protest in Tirur Venganur and Chottanikkara against the Silver Line survey. After a dispute between the police and the locals, Venganur avoided throwing stones at the Juma Masjid. Although stone laying in the church yard has been eliminated, stone laying in the yard of houses is in progress. But these stones are being torn down by the natives. The stones were torn down as soon as they were placed. The locals are organizing and protesting here.

They say there is no clarity about where the land will go if the land is acquired and how many cents the land will get. Protesters removed the stones from the field and placed them on Panchayat Road. Protested eight were taken into police custody. Police are removed from the spot where the protests were spreading.

A similar protest is taking place in Chottanikkara Mamala. The survey stones set up at Mamala yesterday were torn down. DCC President Mohammad Shias and others are participating in the protest. Survey stones were left by protesters in the canal.
