During the filming of a new documentary, a huge shark injured the well-known columnist and presenter Simon Reeve, who was diving off the coast of the island of New Guinea. The shark was the size of a double-decker bus, but Reeve said he thought it was cute.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Simon Reeve is currently filming a TV show about the world’s greatest wildernesses. In it, he will visit Patagonia, the Kalahari desert, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the coral triangle in the Pacific Ocean. “It’s the most important series I’ve ever made because it deals with huge swaths of the world that help shape our climate systems and climate. We are in danger of losing them,” he said of the new show.
I was a complete fool
During one of the filming, he decided to jump into the water after a school of giant sharks. “I expected them to be soft. When one of them hit me, it was like a ton of concrete hitting me. I have a big scar on my leg now, but it could have been a lot worse. I was a complete fool,” he added, saying that cute animals still go.
A giant who lives to be a hundred
A giant shark is not interested in eating humans. It feeds on small plankton and small fish. Nevertheless, these creatures can reach incredible lengths, with the largest usually reaching a length of around nine meters. Scientists believe that less than 10% of individuals survive to adulthood. Those who succeed can live to be over 100 years old.
