Taipei,Taiwan – The Seoul SK basketball team secured first place in their East Asian Super League (EASL) group after a hard-fought 88-79 victory over the Fubon Braves on December 24th.

The game, played at Heping Gymnasium in Taipei, marked the SK’s third consecutive win in the EASL group stage.

A Comeback Fueled by Warney adn Monroe

While the SK stumbled in their initial EASL outing against Japan’s Utsunomiya Brex, they’ve since found their rhythm, defeating Hong Kong Eastern and Utsunomiya before conquering the 2024-2025 Taiwan P league+ runner-up, Fubon Braves. This recent surge positions them favorably as the tournament progresses.

With a record of three wins and one loss, SK currently leads Group A, pushing Fubon (two wins, one loss) into second place.

This year’s EASL features 12 teams from seven countries, divided into three groups. the top two teams from each group will advance to a ‘Round of Six’ to determine the ultimate champion.
