The positive financial results demonstrate the effectiveness of Škoda’s current strategy, according to a company release. Investments have increased by a tenth, reaching 1.3 billion euros (31.7 billion CZK),signaling a commitment to future growth and innovation. Despite a slight dip in profitability of sales, from 8.3% to 8%, the company remains confident in its trajectory.

Europe and India lead the Charge

Škoda Auto maintains a strong foothold in the European market, currently ranking as the third best-selling car brand on the continent. Sales in Germany, the brand’s largest market, rose 9.9% to 153,800 vehicles. The Czech Republic, its second largest market, saw a 9.8% increase, reaching 67,700 vehicles sold, while the United Kingdom recorded a 13.4% jump to 66,100 vehicles.

However, it is India that is emerging as a key growth driver. Sales in India more than doubled, surging 106% to 49,400 cars. The Kylaq model played a pivotal role in this success, with 30,100 units delivered. This performance underscores the automaker’s strategic focus on expanding its presence in emerging markets.

Electrification Gains Momentum

Škoda Auto is accelerating its transition to electromobility. The company delivered 150,700 electrified cars – including both electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids – worldwide in the first three quarters of the year. Electric cars and plug-in hybrids now account for 24.1% of Škoda’s total sales in Europe.

The new Elroq electric vehicle has already seen strong demand, with 60,400 units sold, while the established Enyaq model range experienced a 15% increase in sales, reaching 58,200 vehicles.

Popular Models Continue to Drive Volume

Despite the growing popularity of its electric offerings, Škoda’s conventional models remain strong performers. The Octavia continues to be the brand’s best-selling vehicle, with 142,200 customer deliveries. It is indeed followed by the Kodiaq (96,200), Kamiq (95,400), Fabia (90,000), and Karoq (78,300).

Future Outlook: Expanding the Electric Portfolio

Looking ahead, Škoda Auto is committed to further expanding its electric vehicle lineup. In September, the company unveiled a study of the Škoda Epiq model, a fully electric urban SUV crossover slated for launch in 2026. The Epiq is positioned as an entry-level electric vehicle, with a price point comparable to the Kamiq with an internal combustion engine in many markets.

The company also plans to introduce a series version of the Vision 7S study,a family SUV with an electric drive, and the vision O concept offers a preview of the brand’s future electric station wagon designs. These upcoming models demonstrate Škoda’s ambition to be among the three most sought-after manufacturers in Europe by 2030.
