JAKARTA – Bimo Setiawan Almachzumi alias “Bimbim” revealed the reason for the band Slender down the mountain. He admitted that currently Indonesia is not in a good condition.
Slender has declared support for presidential candidate (capres) and vice presidential candidate (cawapres) number 3, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD.
It is believed that Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD can make Indonesia even better if led by these two figures.
“Actually, Abdi and Ridho from the MK rocking, if I’m not mistaken in October, yes, they had invited ‘let’s go down’. But I said ‘ah no, I’m too lazy to go up the mountain’,” said Bimbim at the GBK complex, Central Jakarta, Monday (29 /1/2024).
However, Bimbim saw that there were starting to be irregularities in the battle for the number one seat in Indonesia. Therefore, Bimbim was finally inspired and decided to take Slank down the mountain to support Ganjar-Mahfud.
“So, we were already at the top of the mountain, but apparently someone needed us to go down the mountain again. The language we have is songs. So Slank made a song. Everyone joins here to fight the culture that is starting to deviate,” he said.
“Actually, we want to relax, we don’t want to get involved in politics. But it turns out Indonesia isn’t just having fun,” said Bimbim again.
Apart from that, Bimbim admitted that there were many artist friends who asked Slank to voice their support. Finally, Slank decided to support candidate pair number 3, Ganjar-Mahfud, because he believed in their experience.
“Eh, it turns out that up until last week, there was a lot of advice from friends inviting Slank to come down now,” he said.
“Of these three choices, Mr. Ganjar, especially Mr. Mahfud, we all know, right, this is not a tin can. And his track record is clear. So we put our hopes in him,” said Bimbim again.
Slank will perform the song Salam M3tal which has just been released in the Ganjar-Mahfud grand campaign entitled Salam M3tal Concert 03 Total Win at the Gelora Bun Karno Stadium (GBK) on Saturday (3/2/2024).
