A consultation meeting was held to set up a small textile technology park at Kumarapalayam.
A consultation meeting to set up a small textile technology park on behalf of ‘Sitra’ at Kumarapalayam was held under the chairmanship of Sangameswaran, president of Kongu Powerloom Owners Association. Amshaveni, Salem Regional Director, Textile Department, and Senthil Kumar, Assistant Director, Namakkal District Industrial Center participated as special invitees and explained the reasons for setting up the textile park. Then Amsaveni, director of textile department, Salem zone, told reporters:
In 2015, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu announced the establishment of a small-scale textile technology park. In this, 50 percent and two and a half crores of subsidy will be given for the cost of internal infrastructure, setting up of amenity center and construction of factory.
There are 5 categories: location, internal structure, general facility construction, factory construction, and machinery. Must have 2 acres of land. At least 3 industries will participate in this, where 3 entrepreneurs will participate. The Tamil Nadu government is actively working to establish at least 50 parks. We are expecting more applications in Kumarapalayam, Pallipalayam area.
