UA Counterpoint report on the state of the smartwatch market in the first quarter of 2023 indicates that there was a drop in sales compared to the same period last year.
According to this report, the smartwatch market had a sales drop of around 1.5% compared to the first three months of 2022. Apple, which in 2022 had a market share of 32%, reaches the first quarter this year with 26%. Samsung, which had 10%, is left with 9% and moves to third, and Huawei, which in 2022 was in third place with 7%, is replaced in the ‘ranking’ by the Indian Fire-Boltt – which is in second place with 9%.
It is believed that these movements can be explained by the global economic situation and the greater demand for lower price proposals.
