Smolny told which patients should not come to clinics

by time news

The St. Petersburg Health Committee has published additional clarifications regarding the temporary rules for visiting polyclinics. From today, patients with mild forms of coronavirus can visit these institutions, while the department named eight categories of citizens who should not come in person.

So, in polyclinics, people with limited mobility, people with disabilities, patients diagnosed with chronic non-communicable diseases, pregnant women, as well as mothers with children under three years old and people over 60 years old are not yet waiting.

The St. Petersburg Health Committee explained to RG that, relatively speaking, this is not about all pregnant women or citizens with disabilities, but only about those who have a suspicion of coronavirus or SARS.

That is, if a pregnant woman was referred to a cardiologist or ophthalmologist through the antenatal clinic, she can come to the clinic as usual. But if the same pregnant woman catches a cold or becomes ill with a mild form of coronavirus and she needs to open a sick leave, then in this case, you should call a doctor at home.

The Health Committee also notes that clinics accept patients with mild forms of the disease. That is, with a runny nose, cough, low, albeit unpleasant temperature, you can come to the clinic. And if the state of health is bad, the person is shaking, each step is difficult, then you should not be a hero, you need to call a doctor at home.

The innovation about visiting polyclinics with coronavirus applies only to those who live nearby and can walk to the medical facility. There is a need to travel by public transport, in which case patients also have to stay at home and wait for the doctor they have called, even if they feel relatively well.

The Komzdrav draws attention to the fact that citizens who can come have the right to see a doctor without an appointment.

Patients with acute respiratory viral infections are admitted to 138 city clinics, both for children and adults. The list is published on the Comzdrav website. An important point: patients with SARS and suspected coronavirus should not enter from the main entrance. A separate entrance was equipped for them so that the flows of patients did not intersect.

Although planned medical care has been temporarily canceled in polyclinics, patients are still accepted in medical institutions, for example, narrow specialists. They accept those who, without a timely appointment with a doctor, may become worse, for example, cancer patients or write prescriptions for drugs from among the vital ones. And the main task is to make sure that the flows of patients with suspected coronavirus and citizens with such serious illnesses that they need medical care without delay do not intersect.
